Houston, TX (Dec 29) –The Military Warriors Support Foundation (MWSF) is excited to be back at the Houston Advocare Bowl. This partnership affords the opportunity to honor one of our nation’s heroes during a special on field presentation during the 2015 holiday bowl season. Former US Navy Seamen Nicholas Tubbs and his family will be recognized for his service. Earlier this year, the Tubbs family received the gift of a fully renovated, mortgage-free home in Missouri City, TX, donated by Wells Fargo.
“The Houston Advocare Bowl is an invaluable partner to our foundation in honoring our nation’s heroes and we are excited to be able to work with them and ESPN for a 3rd year.” said Ken Eakes, Executive Director of the Military Warriors Support Foundation. “Their passion to support our veterans parallels our own Mission. Together we can accomplish what we can only individually dream.”
Seamen Tubbs served in the US Navy and deployed to Iraq. He received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained while performing combat operations. He also received a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Iraq Campaign Medal with Eagle Globe and Anchor, among many other awards during his service.
The Tubbs family is excited to spend the holiday season in their Missouri City home.
