PulteGroup’s Built to Honor Program Joins Forces with Military Warriors Support Foundation to Gift a New Home
TAMPA, Fla. – December 26, 2015 – Retired U.S. Army Sgt. John Jaramillo will be honored at the St. Petersburg Bowl Game on Saturday, December 26 with the news that he and his family are the recipients of a new mortgage-free Centex home through the PulteGroup’s Built to Honor program.
“It’s just incredible. The help couldn’t have come at a better time for our family,” says Sgt. Jaramillo, “This shows that people truly care what you did. A lot of people don’t know what you go through out there.”
Sgt. Jaramillo served two enlistments in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 where he was injured by an IED. He retired in 2013 and received numerous commendations, including a Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, two Army Commendation Medals, and many others.
During a game timeout, Jaramillo, his wife Dania, and two young children will be escorted onto the field for the announcement along with members from PulteGroup and Military Warriors Support Foundation, which supports our nation’s wounded heroes as they transition out of the military and into civilian life.
The Jaramillo chose the Citrus Grove home design, which is a 2,830 sq. ft. two-story home featuring five bedrooms, game room, covered lanai, and two-car garage. It will be ready for them to move into in the summer of 2016. Built by Centex Homes in Ruskin, Florida, the customized home is in collaboration with dozens of local trade contractors and building partners. The community is a perfect place to raise a family with a walking trail, private swimming pool, soccer field, and children’s playground.
“It truly is our honor to be a part of building the home of their dreams where the Jaramillo family can focus on creating long-lasting memories in their new home,” says Sean Strickler, the Company’s division president for West Florida. “Sgt. Jaramillo is a testament to the courage, tenacity and valor, and we hope this home will ease his transition and provide him and his family with the security and peace of mind as they move to the Tampa Bay area.”
