Finding Renewed Strength from Christ by Helping Others: Hand in Hand Published by Outskirts Press

Outskirts Press announces the latest highly anticipated body, mind, spirit and spiritualism book from Bassett, VA, authors Debbie Craig and Jackie Turner.

December 01, 2015. Denver, CO, and Bassett, VA - Outskirts Press, Inc. has published Hand in Hand: On the glory road together by Debbie Craig and Jackie Turner.  The authors’ most recent book to date is a 5.5 x 8.5 paperback in the body, mind, spirit and spiritualism category and is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  The webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/debbiecraigva was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.

“Do you feel you are the only one who has stumbling blocks as you live for Christ?” ask authors Craig and Turner.  “So many days we need encouragement, to know we have someone to take our hand, help us up and walk with us as a Christian.”

The poems and short stories in this book will help readers get through the tough days they may go through. You are not alone and together we will travel this glory road.  These poems and short stories were inspired by God, either by direct struggles in life or by situations the authors found themselves going through when they really needed help to find their way back to Christ.

The short stories will bring to life the struggles faced as Christians trying to do their best in the world even when the battles are so much more than they can fight on their own.

“We need help from God which sometimes comes in the form of our sister or brother in Christ,” write the authors.  “Keep walking; keep praying; keep reading your Bible, don’t give up!  Take someone’s hand today and as you help others, you will find the strength you also need to live your life for Christ.”

139 pages in length, Hand in Hand: On the glory road together is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the body, mind, spirit and spiritualism category.  With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Hand in Hand meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $10.95.

Additionally, Hand in Hand can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press Direct bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/bookstore.

About the author:

This is the second book Debbie has published.  The first was A View from the Middle, a biography of her life giving praise to the Lord for her struggles and blessings.  Hand in Hand contains poems written by her mother, Helen C. “Jackie” Turner, over several years during her life as a Preacher’s wife.  Jackie is a blessing with her singing and guitar playing in her church and community.  The short stories are written by Debbie and show how this world can attack a Christian and pull them from the glory road, stealing their joy, and their struggles to get back to Christ.  They both live in the small community of Bassett, Virginia.  Jackie has two other children, Doug and Amy.  Jackie’s husband, Rev. Sonny Turner, founded and preached at Community Baptist Church for twelve years, even with his heart disease.  His work for the Lord is still in hearts today.  He passed away May 15, 1999 and is missed by his family and friends each day.
