Washington, D.C., January 14, 2016: The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law (LDB) welcomes Alex Goldberg, who will be joining the organization for a Communications & Development internship for the Spring 2016 semester. LDB is a non-profit civil rights organization that combats anti-Semitism in higher education through research, education and legal advocacy. Alex looks forward to contributing LDB’s mission of advancing the civil and human rights of Jewish people and promoting justice for all.
“We are excited to announce another great addition to our LDB team,” says LDB President Kenneth L. Marcus. “Alex brings energy, creativity, and a strong desire to learn. We believe he will provide a unique perspective and valuable ideas to help the organization’s continued growth. Alex joins interns Jesus Moran and Michelle Yabes, who have been doing great work here at the Brandeis Center.”
Alex is junior at James Madison University studying Public Policy and Administration. Alex’s interest in the Brandeis Center stems from his commitment to fighting anti-Semitism, his plans on attending law school after completing his undergraduate degree, and his dreams of starting his own nonprofit organization relating to poverty and education in the future. He is confident that what he learns at the Brandeis Center will be invaluable to his future.
