Jim Weick of Fort Lauderdale, Florida recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, on how officers improperly use PBTs during DUI investigations. Jim received training about NHTSA's standards and protocols for how PBTs are supposed to be used by officers during DUI investigations and the common ways that officers improperly use PBTs during DUI investigations.
The American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys has compiled information from Judges, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors (the Top DUI Prosecutors in each State), DUI Prosecutors, current Law Enforcement Officers, former Law Enforcement Officers, and DUI Defense Attorneys to determine exactly what skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial.

Mr. Weick has been an attorney for over 20 years, practiced exclusively criminal law first as a prosecutor and for the past 12 years as a defense attorney. Mr. Weick graduated undergrad with a degree in business logistics from John Carroll University, and has a JD from Ohio Northern. After graduation, Mr. Weick worked as a prosecutor in Lima, Ohio. In 1997, Mr. Weick moved to Florida where he started working as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County. Throughout his career, Mr. Weick has tried cases from simple misdemeanors up to first degree capital murder cases.
