January 22, 2016 – TutorHub.ca, a Craigslist-like platform that connects tutors with students and parents, has announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The non-profit web platform will run the campaign until Monday, February 15.
The fundraising goal is $1,000 CAD. The website will list the names of tutors on a map, by subject, and by hourly rate as well as enable visitors to browse categories. Developers are still working to finish the site and complete the list of tutors.
The company’s Kickstarter page features a screenshot of the Tutor Hub site plus videos of people’s reactions to the cause. Risks to the project include not completing it in time, and students missing out on valuable educational opportunities.
TutorHub.ca is expected to be completed by June 2016 and will be free to all users. Watch the Video Here.
