A member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, North American Spine Society, and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Won is active in research and development of innovative spine care. He has been published in numerous scientific journals and textbooks and has lectured internationally on all aspects of spinal disorders. He has also developed new minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, as well as state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgical devices, to treat spinal disorders.
Dr. Won attended medical school at the University of Texas, Galveston, TX and completed his residency in orthopedics at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He was fellowship-trained in orthopedic spine and neuro-spine at William Beaumont Spine Center, Royal Oak, MI, and in deformities of the spine at Washington University, St. Louis. His dual fellowship training is recognized as the highest level of spine surgery training.
